Desmond Shaw, 22, was killed after a shooting in Forrest City, Arkansas, on the night of September 2, 2015. Shaw was in a vehicle with three others in a parking lot when gunfire erupted; police found the car marked by bullet holes. Shaw and 22-year-old Jamie Harris were both shot. Shaw was taken to Forrest City Medical Center and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Harris was flown to the Regional Medical Center in Memphis in serious condition. Two other occupants, 21-year-old Derrick Holmes and an unidentified juvenile, were uninjured.
Forrest City police identified and arrested two local men, 28-year-old Dexter Dukes and 18-year-old Malik Ursery, who were charged in connection with Shaw’s death and Harris’s battery. Both were held at the Saint Francis County Jail. The motive and the events that led to the shooting were still under investigation and authorities had not released further details.
Did anyone in Forrest City see activity in that parking lot that night or have information about what led up to the shooting?
