Richard Drury, 66, of Leverett, Massachusetts, went missing in early December 2020. The last known communication from him was an email on December 4, 2020, and he was reportedly last seen in the driveway of his Dudleyville Road home around December 11 or 12. Authorities found his vehicle, wallet, and his dogs at the residence, and there were no immediate signs of foul play. He was believed to be wearing blue jeans and a tan or brown coat when last seen.

Local police and fire departments mounted extensive searches of the wooded areas near his home — places he was known to walk with his dogs — but those efforts, which continued through part of December, produced no leads and the large-scale ground search was later suspended pending new information. The investigation remains open and the community has kept his absence in mind, including a proposal to name the Transfer Station entranceway Drury Lane in his memory. If anyone knew Richard’s movements in early December 2020 or saw him near Dudleyville Road, please contact the investigating agency with any information.
