In the early hours of June 10, 2022, gunfire shattered a North Bridgeport neighborhood. Noel McIntosh, a 37-year-old Black man from Bridgeport, was found in the street on Priscilla Circle at about 1:25 a.m. suffering multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead. His death was recorded as the city’s 10th homicide of the year.

Bridgeport Police Department’s Homicide Squad processed the scene and opened an investigation. Detectives said they believed the shooting was not random and described it as an isolated, targeted attack, indicating McIntosh likely knew the person or people who shot him. Investigators reported pursuing several strong leads, but no arrests have been publicly announced. McIntosh’s mother has publicly called for justice and described him as a hard-working father.
