Benny Jose Rosado, 37, was shot and killed in New Britain, Connecticut, on December 13, 2015. Police were called shortly before 5 a.m. to the area of 450 South Main Street and found Rosado in a back parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he died of his injuries.
The shooting occurred at the site of an illegal after-hours club that was serving alcohol without a permit. Witnesses and evidence indicated Rosado had been acting aggressively and had pointed a gun at others; he also fired his weapon but did not hit anyone. Authorities say 44-year-old Reynaldo Caban drew a gun and shot Rosado. Caban, a convicted felon, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a firearm and carrying a pistol without a permit and held on $500,000 bond. A second man, 27-year-old Jose Bauza-Negron, was arrested on multiple charges including assault and theft of a firearm; police allege he assaulted the wounded Rosado and took his gun.
Are there witnesses or anyone with information about the events at that location that night who can help clarify what happened?
