On the evening of October 29, 2010, in Norwalk, Connecticut, 22-year-old Michael Leon Mizzy Robinson Jr. was shot near the intersection of South Main and Grove streets. Multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots came in shortly after 7 p.m.; responders found Robinson on the corner and he was treated at the scene, then taken to Norwalk Hospital where he was pronounced dead. In the hours before the shooting he had been playing with his young daughter.

Investigators believed the killing was connected to ongoing violence between rival gangs in the city. The case grew cold and was later included in a set of cold case playing cards distributed in Connecticut’s prison system to generate new leads. In September 2017 an arrest was made: Ibo Boone, who was 23 at the time of the shooting, was charged with Robinson’s murder. Testimony at Boone’s trial described the two men as members of opposing gangs and an eyewitness said the two argued over money just before the shooting and identified Boone as the shooter.

Did anyone in Norwalk know Michael Robinson or see him on October 29, 2010?
