Brian Sean Housley was 28 when he was struck by gunfire in a drive-by shooting in the early morning hours of November 27, 2017. He was outside a residence on the 900 block of 16th Street in Ogden, Utah, when shots were fired from a passing vehicle. Housley was shot in the head, taken to a local hospital, and died on November 30, 2017, after three days fighting for his life.
Friends and family remember him as kind, outgoing, and generous, a car enthusiast and skilled window tinter who loved working on his Subaru. Investigators have said they believe he was not the intended target and that the shooting may have been gang-related, while also stating Housley had no gang ties. No arrests or publicly identified suspects have been announced, and the case later became cold despite a reward and the family’s ongoing appeals for information.
Brian was an organ donor; his donations helped others. If anyone has information about that night or the vehicle involved, please come forward.
