Charles Harold Litchfield went missing from Moncks Corner, South Carolina, after he was last seen the evening of December 13, 2019, walking away from an apartment in the 100 block of Northbridge Court. He was 47 at the time and was wearing blue jeans, a camouflage jacket, and red Converse shoes. Those who last saw him were unsure whether he left on foot or got into a vehicle. He had a history of seizures and reportedly was not taking his required medication when he disappeared.

The initial missing person report was filed on January 4, 2020. Family members reported several possible sightings over the years that were not validated by law enforcement, and the Moncks Corner Police Department investigated before the case grew cold. In February 2026 the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office confirmed human skeletal remains found near Stoney Landing Road belonged to Charles; the coroner did not immediately release cause or manner of death. An obituary gave his date of death as June 19, 2025, and remembered him as a devoted family man who enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren.

If anyone knew Charles, saw him in the Moncks Corner area after December 13, 2019, or has information about the wooded area near Stoney Landing Road, please come forward.
