Gino Risola, 41, was shot and killed in the driveway of his Waukee, Iowa home in the early hours of November 7, 2015. He and his wife were returning to the house when a man stepped out and fired multiple rounds at Risola; he was taken to a hospital and later died. The killing was the first murder the city had experienced in nearly 40 years.
Friends and family remembered Risola as a kind-hearted, gentle father of four who could always make people laugh and who stayed close to friends from his former hometown of Stamford, Connecticut. Investigators quickly identified a suspect described as an associate of Risola; that man had a violent criminal history and was connected to an earlier assault for which Risola was reportedly listed as a witness.
Does anyone have memories of Gino or information about that night that could help complete the picture?
