Dr. Craig Joshua Jackson, 45, was found dead inside his North Bend, Oregon home in the pre-dawn hours of August 2, 2021, after a 911 caller reported a medical emergency on Stanton Avenue. Responding officers located the Bay Clinic family physician with injuries consistent with homicidal violence; an autopsy the next day determined he died from a gunshot wound to the head.
Authorities quickly described the incident as a targeted home invasion. Investigators said two unknown males entered the residence and engaged in a violent confrontation with the doctor before the fatal shot, and the Coos County Major Crimes Team led a multi-agency inquiry. Public filings and reporting portray the killing as a planned act carried out by two on-scene assailants rather than a random break-in.
A grand jury later returned a secret indictment and prosecutors charged the victim’s ex-wife, Reina Gabriela Jackson, with murder in the second degree and two counts of conspiracy to commit murder in the second degree; a nationwide warrant led to her arrest in Atlanta on June 14, 2023. Two unidentified men believed to have been the on-scene attackers remain publicly unnamed. Does anyone have information about the two men described as entering the home that morning?
