Reymon Delacruz-Batista, 32, was found dead by hunters in Pittsfield State Forest in December 2021. State Police investigators working with the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office determined he died of multiple gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide.
The investigation identified four primary suspects. Between February and April 2022, law enforcement agencies arrested Jamel Nicholson, Naquan Miller, Timothy McFadden, and Anthony Robertson; arrests were made by the Pittsfield Police Department, the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force, and the U.S. Marshal’s Service. All four were later indicted on murder and armed kidnapping with serious bodily injury, with additional firearms and accessory counts varying by defendant. A fifth person, Melissa Perrea, was indicted on obstruction of justice and destruction of documents.
Prosecutors in Berkshire Superior Court have ordered the four co-defendants held without bail. Motive and many case details have been withheld while the investigation continues.
Did anyone in the Pittsfield area see or hear anything unusual in the woods that December?
