Franklin Mane, 19, of Worcester, Massachusetts, was found dead on May 12, 2021, in an overgrown area at the edge of a parking lot on Industrial Road in Leominster after officers responded to a report of a body. The Office of the State Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide caused by multiple gunshot wounds. Leominster and Worcester police and Massachusetts State Police detectives from the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office opened the investigation.

Two suspects have since been charged in the killing. In May 2023, 25-year-old Wilbert I. Nieves of Fitchburg was charged with murder; he was already incarcerated on unrelated firearms charges and was scheduled for arraignment in Leominster District Court on June 1, 2023. In April 2025, 23-year-old Jose Pacheco of Worcester was also charged with murder and accused of being one of the individuals who shot Mane; he was likewise in custody on an unrelated charge and was due for arraignment in Leominster District Court on April 11, 2025. The case against both men is ongoing.

Does anyone have information about Mane’s movements or who might have been involved around May 2021?
