On the late morning of May 6, 2020, 22-year-old Jake Williams of Fall River, Massachusetts, was found inside his vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds near Mott and Warren Streets. First responders transported him to St. Anne’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities arrested 23-year-old Rayquan Robinson later that same day. The two men had previously been friends but had exchanged escalating feuds by text and on Facebook. Investigators say Robinson opened fire on Williams while Williams was driving; the car’s windshield had multiple bullet holes.
Robinson was charged with murder, attempted assault and battery by means of a firearm, and illegal firearm possession. The case drew attention for how a personal dispute ended with a fatal shooting. If anyone knew Jake, his movements that morning, or has information about the conflict between him and Robinson, please come forward.
