On the evening of March 27, 2017, 24-year-old Sina Zangiband was working as a food delivery driver in Lynn, Massachusetts when another car aggressively overtook him and forced him to pull over on Bowler Street in front of St. Pius V School. The driver of the other vehicle, later identified as 21-year-old Brian Brito, exited his car and fired a semi-automatic handgun four or five times, fatally wounding Zangiband, who was found in his vehicle with his foot still on the brake.

Surveillance footage captured the overtaking Audi, and an off-duty firefighter witnessed the shooting. State police stopped a car matching that description on Route 1 in Peabody shortly afterward and found a loaded gun. Hours later the same man allegedly robbed a convenience store in North Andover, sexually assaulted the female clerk at gunpoint and reportedly told her he had just killed someone. Brito was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, aggravated rape, armed robbery and kidnapping.

Zangiband, an aspiring pilot, was remembered by his family as a beloved son and brother. Does anyone have photographs, memories, or information about Sina’s life or the evening of March 27 that could help build a clearer picture of what happened?
