Carlos Aponte, 38, was found dead in the snow in a Lynn, Massachusetts neighborhood in the early morning of February 13, 2017. A resident using a snowblower discovered the body. Responding officers observed injuries to Aponte’s upper chest and lower neck; the Essex District Attorney’s office later confirmed he had been fatally shot.

Law enforcement had been called to the same area about an hour earlier but reported nothing unusual then. Authorities have identified three suspects they want to question, but no detailed descriptions or identities have been released and no arrests have been publicly announced. The investigation remains open.
