Leroy Damasio Fresquez was 24 when he died on November 26, 2020. He was born August 22, 1996, in Taos, New Mexico, and lived in Vadito. Leroy enjoyed baseball, horseback riding and ATVs, worked summers with AmeriCorps, learned mechanics and trained horses; he graduated from Penasco High School in 2014 and was remembered as caring and helpful.

Leroy was the son of Juliet and Vincent Fresquez and is survived by three younger sisters, Karmel, Jazmin and Angelique, as well as extended family. A Rosary and Mass of Christian burial were held in May 2022 at San Francisco de Asís Catholic Church, with burial at Vadito Cemetery.
