Brenda Tucker was 28 when she vanished from Heflin, Alabama, in the summer of 1988. The last confirmed sighting was in Cleburne County while she was with Carl A. Brenda had previously lived in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where family members say she may have had a child.
Brenda is described as a white female with brown hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 2 inches to 5 feet 4 inches and weighing 115 to 125 pounds at the time she disappeared. Years later, before his 2002 suicide, Williams allegedly told others he had killed Brenda, and the case is now treated as a suspected homicide. The Heflin Police Department is the investigating agency and the case is cold but listed as active.
Anyone who knew Brenda, Carl Williams, or remembers seeing them in Cleburne County in summer 1988 is asked to share what they know with investigators.
