Jennifer Lo Blagg, 34, and her six-year-old daughter Abby went missing from their Grand Junction, Colorado home on November 13, 2001, after husband Michael Blagg reported returning from work to find significant blood in the master bedroom and an overturned jewelry box but no sign of either female. Friend reports and Jennifer’s journal entries suggested marital strife and a controlling relationship, details investigators noted as the inquiry progressed.

In June 2002 Jennifer’s decomposing body was located in the Mesa County landfill among trash collected from her husband’s workplace; an autopsy showed she had been shot in the head at close range. Abby remained missing and is presumed deceased. Suspicions centered on Michael Blagg, who was arrested in Georgia and charged with first-degree murder after Jennifer’s body was found. Prosecutors alleged he killed Jennifer as she slept, wrapped her body, and disposed of it in a dumpster at his office; the defense raised alternative theories.

What information might help explain where Abby was taken after November 13, 2001?
