On October 26, 1986, 24-year-old Judy Tina Pillman was found dead by two fishermen in Chatfield State Park in Jefferson County, Colorado. Her body was partially covered by brush on the park’s west side near South Wadsworth Boulevard; an investigation determined she had been shot.

Pillman had last been seen on the evening of October 16, 1986 after being dropped off near Colfax and Corona in Denver to attend an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting she never attended. At that time she was wearing a black leather coat, a blue hooded sweatshirt, and blue jeans, and may have been carrying a brown suitcase and a black radio. She lived with her brother at the Arnold Apartments, 1235 Washington Street in Denver, and worked for Kayman T-shirts.

The death is unsolved; no arrests or publicly identified suspects have been announced. Anyone with information about Judy Pillman or her movements in mid-October 1986 is asked to contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
