Brian Rayford, 44, was killed by gunfire on the night of November 25, 2022, on the 3100 block of Plumwood Lane in North Las Vegas. Police were called about 10 p.m.; officers found Rayford with gunshot wounds to his torso. Emergency medical personnel responded but he was pronounced dead. The Clark County Coroner later ruled the cause of death multiple gunshot wounds and classified it a homicide.

The North Las Vegas Police Department opened a homicide investigation and canvassed the area for evidence and witnesses. In the days after the shooting officials reported no arrests and no identified suspect or suspects. Motive and the events leading up to the shooting have not been released publicly.
