Sheldon McCraven was 23 when he was killed in Logan Square, Chicago, on October 29, 2013. Officers found him about 4:35 a.m. in the 2600 block of North Sawyer Avenue with a single gunshot wound to the chest.

Family members circulated leaflets in the neighborhood seeking information, but no arrests have been reported in connection with his death. The case underscores the persistent problem of gun violence in the city and the challenge of securing witnesses or leads in overnight shootings.
