Jonathan Martinez was 28 when he was shot in Arkansas City, Kansas on the afternoon of April 3, 2020. Police responded to reports of gunfire in the 700 block of North B Street; by the time officers arrived the people involved had left. A short time later a stopped vehicle on the U.S. 77 Bypass contained Martinez with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was taken first to South Central Kansas Medical Center, then airlifted to Wichita, where he died of his injuries.

Authorities identified 37-year-old Christopher Robert Henry of Wichita as a suspect and said Henry and Martinez were acquainted, stating the shooting was not random or road rage. A warrant was issued and on April 7, 2020 Henry turned himself in; he was booked on suspicion of intentional second-degree murder and criminal discharge of a firearm at an occupied vehicle with bond set at $500,000.

Did anyone in Arkansas City or Wichita know Martinez or Henry and have information about what led to the shooting?
