Hassan Mohamed Hassan Ibrahim, 27, was fatally shot in Burnsville, Minnesota, in the early hours of May 31, 2019. Neighbors reported multiple gunshots around 1 a.m.; police and paramedics found Ibrahim’s body in the parking lot of an apartment complex on the 13100 block of South Harriet Avenue. The Hennepin County medical examiner ruled the cause of death multiple gunshot wounds.

At the time the case was reported, no suspects were in custody. Burnsville police said they were pursuing several leads but had not released suspect descriptions and had made no arrests. Ibrahim’s Minnesota record included convictions for petty misdemeanor marijuana possession and gross misdemeanor financial transaction card fraud. The investigation remained open and police were asking the public for help.
