Justin T. Housewright, 33, of Louisville, was found fatally shot in a field in Graves County, Kentucky, in the late hours of a Tuesday in November 2021. An autopsy confirmed he died from multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators say he had been beaten and kidnapped in Paducah and was shot as he tried to escape his captors.
The case prompted a rapid investigation that led to multiple arrests. Seven people from Paducah were taken into custody: William Tabor and Chelsey Doss were charged with murder; James Kortz, Tyanna Sims, Casey Glunt, and Lisa Tabor were also arrested; and Steven Heflin was later charged with kidnapping, accused of helping restrain Housewright and threatening him.
What additional details about the movements of the victim or the suspects that night might help explain how this abduction ended in murder?
