Bryan Stuart McCarty, 62, was found dead in his home on Maple Grove Road in London, Kentucky, on September 25, 2021. A Laurel County sheriff’s deputy discovered the body during a welfare check after McCarty failed to appear for a business meeting; he was the owner of McCarty Rentals. An autopsy found he had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, and the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office opened a homicide investigation.
A reward was offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction, initially $10,000 and later increased to $14,000 with a contribution from London-Laurel County Crime Stoppers. Nearly a year after the killing, 49-year-old Victoria Strelsky—described in McCarty’s obituary as his soul mate—was arrested and charged with murder, first-degree forgery and tampering with physical evidence. She was removed as executor of McCarty’s estate and pleaded not guilty; reports say cell phone data placed her at his home multiple times on the day he died, and a judge appointed McCarty’s ex-wife as the new executor.
Does anyone have information about McCarty’s movements or contacts around September 25, 2021?
