Quincy K. Ukaigwe, a 30-year-old man from Chicago, traveled to Radcliff, Kentucky, in spring 2021 to visit a childhood friend. The last contact with his family came on April 18; after several days without word he was reported missing. His American Bulldog, Abloh, was believed to have been with him during the trip and police sought the public’s help locating the dog.
On May 1, 2021, Kentucky State Police found Ukaigwe’s body in woods near the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff. An autopsy identified him and ruled the cause of death a single gunshot wound to the head, and investigators treated the case as a homicide. Authorities say surveillance video showed Ukaigwe’s 2014 Mercedes Benz in the possession of 22-year-old Jalen M. Cooley on April 18; Cooley was charged with the shooting and reportedly led police to the body. Three others—Danta R. Collins, Jordan Williams, and 18-year-old Jules Gregory—were charged with complicity in the robbery and murder, and court papers say some of Ukaigwe’s money was taken.
Are there readers who knew Quincy, his movements in Kentucky that week, or who saw his dog Abloh?
