On the morning of October 13, 2020, police in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, responded to reports of shots fired on North Kentucky Avenue and found 70-year-old Calvin Taylor dead inside a home. Taylor, known as Cue, was discovered with his mouth and arm bound with duct tape and had suffered three gunshot wounds, two to the abdomen and one to the back of the head.
Investigators described the incident as a robbery that involved a mother and son, 47-year-old Larayna Manning and 24-year-old Anthony Manning. Authorities alleged the pair went to Taylor’s residence, where a physical assault and robbery occurred; Larayna Manning was accused of firing the fatal shots while Anthony Manning was accused of serving as the getaway driver. Both were arrested; Anthony Manning was captured in Abilene, Texas, after leaving the state.
What can anyone who knew Calvin, his routine, or movements before October 13, 2020, add to this investigation?
