Nineteen-year-old Miguel Diaz was fatally shot on July 27, 2020, in Lexington, Kentucky. He had been lured to a residence on Speigle Street under the pretense of buying marijuana. Diaz arrived with a friend and a minor; several armed people confronted them. According to reports, Kaleb Henry, then 19, emerged from behind a doorway and immediately shot Diaz in the head.

Gunfire continued as Diaz’s friend and the minor fled in a vehicle that was also shot at. Police who answered a shots-fired call around 7:15 p.m. found Diaz and he was pronounced dead. Investigators recovered bullet holes in the residence and shell casings at the scene. Two suspects were arrested in the case: Isaac Suastegui, later charged with complicity to murder and related counts after admitting he had lured Diaz for the robbery, and Kaleb Henry, charged with murder, robbery, and wanton endangerment.
