Darell L. Price, 31, was found on the ground in the 500 block of Chestnut Street in Lexington shortly before 3 a.m. on July 11, 2020, suffering multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead at 5:08 a.m.

Lexington police identified a suspect and a murder warrant was issued for 27-year-old Anthony King, who investigators said was an acquaintance of Price. A separate warrant charged King with being a felon in possession of a firearm. Authorities asked the public for help locating King.

Despite that development, the investigation has stalled and the case remains unsolved. Price’s sister has spoken about the impact on the family and on his young daughter. If anyone was on Chestnut Street that night or has information about this shooting, please come forward and share what is known.
