Abed Kadah, 19, was found slumped inside a vehicle in the 3500 block of Laredo Drive in Lexington, Kentucky, on the evening of November 25, 2019. Officers arrived shortly before 7 p.m. after a report of a person down and discovered Kadah had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital and pronounced dead by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office at 7:44 p.m. that night.
A witness at the scene said they saw an individual dressed entirely in black flee from the vehicle after the shots were fired. An autopsy was pending to officially determine cause of death, and the Lexington Police Department opened an investigation. No arrests have been announced and no suspects have been publicly identified; tips can be submitted, including anonymously through Bluegrass Crime Stoppers.
Did anyone in Lexington know or see Abed Kadah that night or have information about the person seen fleeing the scene?
