A quiet evening in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, turned deadly when a gunman carried out a string of shootings that left two people dead, including T-Mart gas station clerk Subash Ghale. Ghale and a co-worker, Prayash Baniya, had moved from Detroit and were described as friendly and known by regular customers at the T-Mart on North Miles Street.

Police found Ghale dead at the scene; Baniya and a customer, Nadia Browne, were wounded and survived. Officers later located Peeler at the Warfield Street residence; he was armed, dropped his weapon when he saw officers, and was taken into custody. Turner’s body was found inside the home and Peeler was charged with two counts of murder and multiple assault charges. The motive, including why the gas station was targeted, remained unclear.

Did anyone who knew Subash Ghale, his co-worker Prayash Baniya, or the T-Mart staff notice anything unusual in the days before the shootings?
