Lucy Schuhmann was reported missing on Thursday, September 19, 2019, after she failed to return to her vacation rental in the Coral Bay area on St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands. Her rental vehicle was found the next day, Friday, September 20, 2019, in the Salt Pond area of Virgin Islands National Park. A backpack belonging to Schuhmann was recovered near the edge of a cliff at the top of the Ram Head Trail inside the park.

The sequence of locations — rental in Coral Bay, vehicle at Salt Pond, backpack on Ram Head Trail — frames a narrow geographic area where search efforts were focused. If anyone was in the Ram Head Trail or Salt Pond areas around September 19–20, 2019, or has information about Lucy’s whereabouts, please come forward.
