Myron Wilkerson was 37 when he was found shot on Dakota Street in Lexington, Kentucky in the early hours of a Saturday in January 2018. Emergency services took him to the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, but he was pronounced dead of a gunshot wound at about 2:00 a.m. on January 20, 2018, according to the Fayette County Coroner’s Office.

Lexington Police canvassed the neighborhood for witnesses and leads. Hours after Wilkerson’s death there was a separate shooting at the same location; investigators said they found no evidence linking the two incidents. No suspects have been publicly identified and no arrests have been announced, and the case remains unsolved.

Anyone who knew Myron, witnessed activity on Dakota Street that night, or has information that could help investigators is asked to come forward.
