Steven Earl Robinson Jr., 35, was shot and killed outside a bar on the 300 block of East Second Street in Lexington, Kentucky, in the early morning hours of Saturday, August 12, 2017. He suffered a gunshot wound to his upper chest and, after being taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, was pronounced dead in the emergency room at 2:50 a.m. He was known to some as Charlie; his funeral was held August 16, 2017, at Pleasant Green Baptist Church.
Lexington police described the shooting as not random, saying Robinson and the suspect were involved in an ongoing dispute that escalated to violence. Investigators identified and arrested a suspect. Mako L. Greer, 40, of Lexington, was taken into custody and charged with murder and held in the Fayette County Detention Center.
