A June 2015 weekend shooting spree in Lexington, Kentucky, included the fatal wounding of 54-year-old Ronnie O’Neal Graves. Officers were called to Charles Avenue the evening of Sunday, June 7 and found Graves inside a silver sedan with gunshot wounds. He was taken to the University of Kentucky hospital and later pronounced dead by the Fayette County coroner’s office.

The killing came hours after the nearby fatal shooting of Graves’s 31-year-old nephew, Montez Lamont Graves, on Whitney Avenue. Police arrested 21-year-old Jermaine M. Anderson in connection with Montez Graves’s death after he was seen running from that scene and charged him with that murder, but investigators said they did not believe Anderson was tied to Ronnie Graves’s shooting. Authorities reported having vague or no suspect descriptions in Ronnie Graves’s case, and no arrest had been made in that homicide.
