A dispute between neighbors in Monticello, Kentucky, ended in a fatal shooting that claimed the life of 38-year-old Gavin Allen Thompson. The confrontation began late on the evening of April 20, 2014, during a conversation between Thompson and his new neighbor, Ian T. Miller, and escalated into a violent altercation. Thompson was shot multiple times at his residence and was taken to Wayne County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on Monday, April 21, 2014.
