Raymond George Graham, 56, of Wapato was found dead late morning on March 15, 2020, on a property along the 1300 block of North Track Road, just north of town near Renegade Raceway. Deputies estimated he had likely been dead less than 12 hours when a passerby discovered him and the scene was immediately treated as a homicide. The location is on Yakama Nation land, and tribal police responded alongside county investigators.

An autopsy determined Graham died from a gunshot wound to the chest. Detectives arrested a 17-year-old boy the following day; the Sheriff’s Office reported the teen admitted to killing Graham and he was booked on a murder charge. Prosecutors indicated the teen would be tried as an adult, and investigators continued processing evidence from the scene.
