Cashmiere A S Hill, an 18-year-old from Appleton, Wisconsin, died on November 5, 2017, after a shooting during an attempted robbery in Oshkosh. Summers and Stephon D. Harris — targeted 25-year-old Nicholas J. Davis after Summers saw Davis post about casino winnings. Hill and Harris first broke a window at Davis’s Waugoo Avenue home; Hill, armed with a gun, demanded money but was pushed out as Davis locked the door. The group regrouped in a vehicle, Summers returned with Hill, and Hill forced his way back into the house. A shootout followed; Davis, armed with a .22-caliber handgun, was shot in the arm and Hill was fatally shot.
Authorities identified Hill as the deceased and arrested Summers and Harris. Summers was charged with felony murder as a party to a crime, and both Summers and Harris were charged as parties to armed robbery and armed burglary. The case underscores how a social media post about winnings was alleged to have motivated a planned robbery that ended in deadly violence.
