Daniel James Howard Aaron, 33, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, was killed on the afternoon of September 12, 2021. He was on a motorcycle ride when he was shot in the back; the event initially appeared to be a violent crash but investigators say the shooting was the cause of death.

Aaron was identified as a member of the Pagans Motorcycle Club, and investigators allege the killing resulted from a territorial dispute with the Outlaws Motorcycle Club on a highway near Harrah. Four men with alleged Outlaws ties were arrested: Stephen Roberts and Virgil Nelson on charges of first degree murder, and Larry Ramirez and Connor Bunts on charges of accessory after the fact. Court filings say members of the Outlaws confronted Aaron and another person, leading to the shooting; Nelson reportedly sought treatment for a gunshot wound to his leg the same day and said he did not know who shot him.
