A quiet Muskogee neighborhood was shattered on February 2, 2021, when a mass shooting inside a home left six people dead, including 9-year-old Que’dynce Anton Lamark Anderson. Police answered reports of multiple gunshots just after 1:30 a.m. and encountered a man with a firearm; an officer fired and missed, the suspect fled briefly and was taken into custody.
Officers found one adult man and four children dead inside the residence. A fifth child and the children’s mother, Brittany Anderson, were taken to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition; that child later died. The victims named were Javarion Lee, 24; Jalaiya Pridgeon, 1; Jaidus Pridgeon, 3; Harmony Anderson, 5; Neveah Pridgeon, 6; and Que’dynce Anderson, 9. The man arrested was identified as 25-year-old Jarron Deajon Pridgeon and was charged with six counts of first-degree murder, shooting with intent to kill, and possession of a firearm during probation. Investigators reported Pridgeon as brother of one adult victim and father of three of the children. The motive remained unclear; Pridgeon did not cooperate after his arrest.
Did anyone in Muskogee know Que’dynce or the family and have information that could shed light on what happened?
