Dominique Knight, 27, and Madison Carter, 30, were found fatally shot inside a parked vehicle on Justin Place in Spencer, Oklahoma, the morning of May 21, 2020. A neighbor discovered the passenger door ajar and a shattered window and reported the bodies around 7 a.m. Investigators determined the ambush happened around 2:15 a.m.; an unknown assailant allegedly approached the driver’s side and opened fire, striking Carter in the driver’s seat. Knight, who was in the passenger seat, tried to flee but was shot and collapsed on the front lawn.

The Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office treated the deaths as a double homicide and collected evidence, including surveillance footage showing two vehicles of interest—one described as a dark-colored Chevy Cruz or Impala—entering and leaving the neighborhood with headlights off around the time of the shooting. No arrests have been announced and no suspects publicly identified. Carter’s family later offered a $10,000 reward and the community has held vigils, but the case remains unsolved.

Does anyone in Spencer recall seeing those vehicles or have other information that could help bring answers?
