Shon Matthew Delodge, a 20-year-old member of the Ponca Tribe from Ponca City, Oklahoma, was shot in the head at a residence in the 1200 block of North Oak on the evening of Thursday, January 23, 2020, and died the next morning, January 24, 2020, in an Oklahoma City hospital. He is remembered for a winning smile, an outgoing nature, studies in carpentry, and having been a seventh-grade football champion.
The investigation led to four arrests within days. On Saturday, January 25, 22-year-old Triston Anthony Nataya Pappan was arrested, initially on accessory to first-degree murder charges that were later upgraded. A 17-year-old male was arrested the next morning, and by Monday, January 27, two more juveniles — a 17-year-old and a 13-year-old — were taken into custody. Pappan and one 17-year-old were charged with first-degree homicide, first-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit a felony, and possession of a firearm during a felony; the other two juveniles faced accessory to first-degree homicide and conspiracy charges, with the 13-year-old also charged with attempted escape from custody. Pappan was held on a $10 million bond; the juveniles were turned over to the Office of Juvenile Affairs.
Did anyone in Ponca City know Shon or have information about the night of January 23, 2020?
