On January 4, 2018, 40-year-old Jarrin Boyles was found unresponsive and lying in a pool of blood at a residential intersection in Idabel, Oklahoma. Initial reports to police suggested a pedestrian had been struck, but at McCurtain Memorial Hospital it was determined Boyles had been shot in the head. He had no identification on him at the scene, and investigators found evidence indicating he had been robbed.
Boyles was from Pottsboro, Texas, and worked as a door-to-door cleaning product salesman; he was in Idabel on business when he was killed. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation assisted in the case, and an Idabel resident, 22-year-old Dakota Shay Fox, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Fox’s trial opened January 14, 2019, and the jury returned a guilty verdict on January 16, recommending life in prison without parole after less than 40 minutes of deliberation.
Does anyone have information about Boyles’ movements in Idabel or witnesses who saw him the day he was killed?
