Isaiah Anthony Harjo was 27 when he was found outside his Shawnee, Oklahoma apartment at the Chapel Ridge Apartments on a cold day in January 2017, suffering multiple gunshot wounds. He was able to tell responding officers who shot him, identifying Antonio as his attacker, before being taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Initial action followed that dying declaration: officers located and arrested 18-year-old Antonio Maurice Sambrano and charged him with first-degree murder. Later developments changed the picture when a child witness gave testimony implicating 38-year-old Christopher John Pipestem. That testimony led to Pipestem’s arrest and charges including first-degree murder with deliberate intent, robbery with a weapon, and child abuse, alleging he shot Harjo during a robbery and forced a minor to remove property from the victim at gunpoint.
Sambrano’s role was later described as involving disposal of the murder weapon, and he accepted a plea to accessory to murder. Who has more information about what happened at Chapel Ridge Apartments that January day?
