Dangelo Grayson was 18 when he was killed in Muskogee, Oklahoma, on July 24, 2014. He was expecting his first child and remembered by his community for a joyful spirit from his time at Cherokee Elementary, the 7th and 8th Grade Center, and Muskogee High School.
Police responded that Thursday morning to a report of a shooting in a back alley near a busy intersection. Grayson was found inside a vehicle with a fatal gunshot wound. Investigators worked the scene for nearly twelve hours, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
A 17-year-old acquaintance, Keenen Major, was found near the vehicle and was arrested at the scene; he was booked at the Muskogee County Detention Facility on a complaint of first-degree murder and was charged as an adult. The community was left reeling by the loss of a young man about to become a father.
If anyone knew Dangelo, Keenen, or saw what happened that morning, please share information that could help fill gaps in the timeline.
