David Lee Davis Sr., 43, was shot to death on October 29, 2022, at a residence in Scott County, Forest, Mississippi. He had lived in Forest for about 30 years and was described by friends and family as an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and camping and as someone always willing to help others.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office reported the shooting arose from a domestic dispute. Nathaniel T. Williams of Forest was identified as the suspect; investigators allege Williams shot and killed Davis, who was the boyfriend of Williams’ ex-wife. Williams was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder and transported to the Scott County jail. The case is expected to be presented to a grand jury.
