GaKobie Kamari Jones was 19 when he was fatally shot during a violent incident at a residence in Meridian, Mississippi, on October 12, 2021. He and two other young men, 23-year-old Kodi Davidson Jr. and 24-year-old Hunter Card, died of multiple gunshot wounds. An infant was also shot twice in the same event and survived. Jones was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, where he later died.

Born January 17, 2002, in Meridian, GaKobie had attended schools in Meridian and Newton County. He was a father to a daughter and a son, was baptized at Hubbard Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Lauderdale, and enjoyed football and staying socially informed. Investigators said a third person may have been involved, and the motive remained publicly unclear.
