Robert Love Jr., 15, was shot multiple times and killed the evening of February 17, 2018, at the Brazil Homes apartments in Greenwood, Mississippi. A talented basketball player described by family as funny and athletic, his death deeply affected the community.

Investigators arrested 18-year-old Greenwood High School student Tashun Lott at school and charged him with first-degree murder. The arrest followed an eyewitness affidavit, and Lott was already out on felony bond for a separate aggravated assault charge. Authorities said Love was believed to have been specifically targeted and that the killing may be linked to an earlier shooting at the Greenwood Country Club. Love had been previously charged in connection with that shooting, and reports say he was unarmed the night he was killed.

Anyone who knew Robert, his routines, or who has information about the Brazil Homes incident is asked to come forward.
