A violent evening in Verona, Mississippi, on September 17, 2020, ended with two men dead. Thirty-five-year-old Thomas Tre Guido died after being shot following an argument inside a car that then crashed into a trailer near Young Drive and Main Street. He was taken to a local hospital and died there. Fifty-eight-year-old Harvey Lee Russell Jr., a nearby resident, was sitting on his porch when he heard the shots and, it is believed, was shot after going to investigate.
Investigators reported that neither of the men involved in the initial dispute lived at the trailer park, leaving their reason for being there unclear. Verona Police Chief Marsenio Nunn said there were no apparent eyewitnesses. Authorities later identified Roy Miller III and Andrego Gaston as suspects wanted in the killings, and two men wanted for questioning were taken into custody by U.S. Marshals in the days after the double homicide.
If anyone knew why those men were at the trailer park that night or has information about the altercation, please share what you know with investigators.
