An evening meant to celebrate a graduation in Gulfport, Mississippi turned deadly on May 31, 2020. Eighteen-year-old Robert Glynn Tatum III was killed when gunfire erupted at the party; reports say more than 100 shots were fired. Five other people were injured in the barrage.

The Gulfport Police Department investigated the mass shooting. The community and Tatum’s family continue to seek answers.
