In the early morning hours of February 26, 2020, 33-year-old Brandon Neal Bodie was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds at a residence on North Seashore Avenue in Long Beach, Mississippi. Police and emergency medical personnel were called to the home around 1 a.m. after a report of a shooting.
Investigators focused on Bodie’s 61-year-old roommate, Kenneth J. Sellier, who was arrested and charged with manslaughter and held on $500,000 bond. Court records summarize Sellier’s account that Bodie had been drinking, became aggressive toward both Sellier and Sellier’s girlfriend, struck Sellier in the head after entering Sellier’s bedroom, and that Sellier then fired three rounds after warning Bodie to back away.
The Gulfport Police Department Crime Scene Unit and the Harrison County District Attorney’s Office assisted the Long Beach Police Department in the probe. Does anyone have information about the events that led up to that night or knew Brandon Bodie?
